Based in Portland, Maine, TookMedia began in May, 2008 as the brainchild of two life-long friends who had discovered that, unbeknownst to one another, they had each fallen head-over-heels in love with the world of New Media. Each had been blogging for quite some time and were starting to discover the possibilities behind affiliate marketing and social networking. From then on, all hopes of a life of normalcy were gone.
Today TookMedia opporates on two fronts. The first of which is all of the in-house projects we’re always working on. Everything from the affiliate marketing campaigns we run, to the development and expansion of many of our other blogs — such as BlogAboutBeer.com, 207prospectus.com, & AffiliateByNight.com — and our web entities, such as CouponLanding.com. The second front is what we can do for you, the client. Simply put, we are people building brands. As good as your product may be, in today’s world, without a “Web 2.0″ presence, your brand is lost on your would-be clients. But that’s where we come in.

Luke Livingston - Principal Owner
Luke Livingston grew up in Auburn, Maine and now resides in Portland, Maine. Luke is a 2007 graduate of Clark University in Worcester, MA with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications & Culture and Screen Studies. In addition to his web work, Luke’s background includes media sales for a local Portland newspaper and college admissions counseling & recruiting for a nearby private liberal arts college. When not working on TookMedia projects, Luke enjoys drinking and brewing craft beer, playing Ultimate Frisbee, juggling, hiking & camping, snowboarding, baseball (especially those Red Sox), the great outdoors, and all his beloved home state of Maine has to offer. Nate Cleveland - Co-Founder, CET (Chief Executive Twitterer)
Nate Cleveland also grew up in Auburn, Maine but now resides in Sommerville, Massachusetts where he has worked as a College Access Counselor in a nearby high school. Nate is a 2007 graduate of Tufts University in Sommerville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & Government. When not working on TookMedia projects, Nate is the Assistant Coach of the Tufts Men’s Track & Field Team. He also is mildly obsessed with the Boston Red Sox and Boston professional sports in general, and also loves his home state of Maine and all it has to offer.
